ted

We are on the dawn of a new era; we are at the dawn of the creative and ambition era where extrinsic incentives are swapped for more intrinsic incentives. The next generations of business people coming from school want to do more with their creativity and want to be valued by this personal creativity.

Meet two people that I have viewed on Ted and on other places;

Sir Ken Robinson,PhD and one of the leading characters in the quest of changing the world in a more creative one. I have read his book; “the Element, how finding your passion changes everything” and I must say that it is an inspiring quest. I have hopes that more and more educational institutes in the world will find out about Sir Ken; education will become a more productive place where students are trained and educated with their passions, ambitions and creativity in mind. Not like my educational background where I was forced to write down the things that my teachers liked to hear. This has for me become the main reason why I did so many activities outside of the school system and why I had so many interests outside this educational institute. If only my university had guided all my fellow students in a more creative and inspiring way….

Lets listen to Sir Ken Robinson making his point on TED.

Second up, meet Daniel Pink, former speech writer for Al Gore and a JD in Yale Law school. Dan Pink is now author of a couple of very interesting and provocative books on how the creative world will thrive and how the “Right Brainers” will rule the world. In his TED presentation he argues on how extrinsic incentives are a big productivity NONO and how the intrinsic incentives and tools of Autonomy , Mastery and Purposes are the leading parts of a more productive company.

View Dan’s inspiring story on TED.

Let these two men be an inspiration to the educational institutes and the company leaders in this world. Let them begin to understand that they should become more creative in applying intrinsic incentives inside their 4 walls in which they operate and don’t use the easy path of offering money or any other extrinsic value. Authenticity, Creativity, Ambition, Passion and Attitude will make this world go round!

I have high hopes for a different world where business leaders will lead with intrinsic values in mind and where teachers and professors will tap into the creativity of their students on all fronts.

Warm regards,

RJ
